Sensemayà by the Mexican composer Silvestre Revueltas opens this concert with the pulsating rhythms of South America. Viola concertos are relatively scarce, but the one by Bartok is a true masterpiece for the instrument. Jennifer Stumm is the featured soloist in this performance.
