I AM: OommoO

A first-generation immigrant straddles her Habesha (Eritrean/Ethiopian) heritage and
British identity. But what happens when you leave everything behind for the promise
of something better – only to find it isn’t better? A poetic reflection on displacement,
tradition, and survival, interwoven with language, customs, music, and wearable tech
(MiMu gloves). Neither a musical nor drama, this is a new kind of storytelling. I AM:
OommoO is a multi-sensory experience where technology meets tradition, and the
past collides with the future.
