Danceries

The Cape Wind Ensemble conducted by Faan Malan is presenting a programme of expertly arranged music in various dancing styles, from the famous Tritsch-Tratsch Polka by Johann Strauss, the beautiful Shostakovich Waltz, and the charming Tangos by Piazolla. Dance music from Cuba to Russia, England, and the Americas will be on the menu, including the first-ever South African performance of "Danceries" by the British Kenneth Hesketh, a large-scale and original composition for the wind ensemble
