Cape Town City Ballet kicks off their 90th year with David Nixon’s dazzling full-length, jazzy ballet, set to George Gershwin’s magnificent music played big-band style by the Cape Town Philharmonic at every performance. With international and South African guest artists including Joburg Ballet, Jazzart and Cape Town Opera. Be prepared for stunning dancing to gorgeous melodies such as An American in Paris, Rhapsody in Blue, I Got Rhythm and more.
Ballet meets jazz with the Cape Town City Ballet performing David Nixon’s full length production joined by the Jazzart Company dancers. Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra will accompany every performance along with singers from Cape Town Opera. Be prepared for exquisite costumes and familiar music from an American in Paris, Rhapsody in Blue and more.
