CRACKING CRYPTICS: FROM CLUELESS TO CLUED-UP - Cancelled

This ten week crossword course gives participants basic skills to start solving cryptic crosswords.

Participants will learn to decode clues, spot cryptic devices (such as anagrams, hidden words, charades, double definitions) and learn the secret language of 'crosswordese'.

They will also learn about remarkable crossword conspiracies, brilliant compilers and have a go at deciphering some of the world's best (and sneakiest) clues.

It's a practical course and a few hours before each workshop participants will receive a puzzle to solve. At the start of each workshop I will give a brief explanation of a cryptic device and then we will tackle the puzzle together.
