The CHILDREN’S SUMMER HOLIDAY PROGRAMME is a series of open studio workshops that takes place over four consecutive days in the December school holiday period. This holiday workshop series has been inspired by the Zeitz MOCAA children’s book series THE STORIES THAT RAN AWAY, written by Meridian Berndt and illustrated by Jill Joubert, Jax lamb, Meridian Berndt and Mandy Wamono.
Parents and guardians of children and teens from the ages of 6 to 16 are invited to book on Webtickets to secure their spot.
Four activities, each inspired by one of the stories from the children’s book series, will be offered on all of the workshop days. We have designed the holiday programme venues as open studios so that participants have a choice of a variety of different activities in the same space and so that they can stay and create for as long as they would like.
The activities are offered at different levels of complexity to accommodate different skill levels and age groups, ensuring maximum fun and engagement. Children may choose a different activity each day or two activities on one day depending on their age and/or how long they wish to stay. A fifth surprise activity will be added on the final day
