SPIN HOSTS: ‘WIE’S DIE HOND SE BAAS’ SPINNING EVENT

More than 60 top spinners from in and around Cape Town will compete for a share of R50 000 in prize money at ‘Wie’s Die Hond Se Baas’ on the Castrol Spinning Pitch at Killarney International Raceway on Saturday 5 October.

They’re the stars of a multicultural spectacle presented by local NGO S.P.I.N. (Supporting People In Need) in collaboration with Western Province Motor Club, bringing together the best spinners from each province to compete for the top spot, including well-known local spinners such as Eddie ‘Rasta’ Campher and Chadwin ‘Boxie’ Hadji.
This national series event will also feature a Drag Racing competition organised by WPMC, Drifting by Drift City, a Racing4Change Gymkhana, a Show and Shine curated by Powerrun and an internationally recognised Sound-Off under the auspices of Deafrow Audio and Base Wars Africa.

The event is supported by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, and will be attended by Minister Gayton McKenzie and a number of other dignitaries, as well as minstrel troupe the Juvie Boys Entertainers.
