National Women's Day is celebrated annually to commemorate the 1956 march of approximately 20 000 women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria, to petition against the country's laws that required South Africans defined as "black" under The Population Registration Act to carry an internal passport, known as a pass.
In honour of this memorable day, Help a Girl, Help a Girl hosts this event, Wonderland: Lives, Legends and Legacies to celebrate the brave, strong women of generations before us, who have the way for us to ascend into our innate power.
