The Slave Route Challenge 2018

Cape Town was built by those who were enslaved and apprentices from Indonesia and Malaysia, many Capetonians can trace their ancestors back to this time. A running event with the purpose of raising awareness about our history and heritage, the Slave Route Challenge was born.

Experienced runners can enjoy a Half Marathon or 10km Run and novices can enjoy the 10km Big Walk or 5km Fun Run / Walk. It truly encapsulates the spirit of Ubuntu! Medals for all finishers and water/snacks en-route.
