The Bridge Book Festival, in association with Sunday Times, celebrates Johannesburg as the inspiration for great South African writing, by bringing writers, poets and readers together in the city’s historic core.
The day-long fest on Saturday 29 October takes place from 10am to 4am at these venues: Bridge Books, The Rand Club, Oppenheimer Park and Corner House. Book lovers can choose which events to go to. Click the Get Ticket box below to book events.

The day-long fest on Saturday 29 October takes place from 10am to 4am at Bridge Books, The Rand Club, Oppenheimer Park and Corner House. Each writer will have a 45-minute slot for a reading and/or a discussion or short workshop. Book lovers can choose where to go. The day ends with cocktails at 85 Commissioner Street, with a separate ticket needed, where readers can engage socially with the authors.
