“When Ballet Meets Jazz” is an innovative and unique artistic collaboration between a group of young classical and contemporary dancers from CuDanSA and Carstens Ireland Ballet Studio. They are accompanied by a formidable sextet of Jazz musicians supporting this collaboration of dance.
The program will present a memorable journey into artistic creativity, exploring the SA and International Jazz standard repertoires in harmony with freshly crafted modern choreographies combined with a few classical pieces.
The musical repertoire will include compositions by Abdullah Ibrahim, Bheki Mseleku, Alan Silinga, Andre Petersen, Pablo Lapidusas, Leo Espinosa and Michael Buble.
