MZANSI YOUTH CHOIR

Formed in Soweto in 2003 with the aim of affording talented, vulnerable teenagers and young adults the opportunity to perform locally and abroad, the Mzansi Youth Choir aims to create an appreciation of traditional African music globally, whilst embracing various music genres. In the words of a Mzansi Youth Choir chorister: “MYC gives me a reason to wake up in the morning.” The choral directors have put together a selection of the choir’s greatest hits, as well as some new ones to entertain the Mzansi crowds in the Soweto Theatre.
